Many times in our lives events take a turn for the worse. Not every road is a bed of roses. The stable and mentally strong person will chin up and face the adversities . He/ she will not give up till things are running smoothly again. But not all can stand up to the challange. Sad and unfavourable events occur in everyones life at some point or other. However, feeling miserable consistently and without any sense of hope is not normal, and should be treated as a serious medical condition. The World Health Organization estimates that 121 million people worldwide suffer from depression. Depression is a complicated condition. It isn’t caused by one thing but rather by a combination of factors.When you have depression, it interferes with daily life and causes pain for both you and those who care about you. Depression is a common but serious illness.Patients of depression may lose interest in activities that were once loved doing, experience loss of appetite or overeating, cannot concentrate or make decisions, and may attempt or commit must take this as a warning sign and start treatment.Once diagnosed, a person with depression can be treated in several ways.
